He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Computer Systems Engineering from Monash University, Australia (2007), where he was awarded the Robert Bosch Australia Prize. He began his career as a software engineer specialising in telecommunications solutions, building highly reliable, high-performance, large-scale cloud systems for telecom operators around the world.
Jason spent close to ten years as a Principal Engineer at Openet, a global leader in real-time telecom billing solutions. In 2019, he joined MATRIXX Software as the founding Principal Engineer of its Kuala Lumpur office. Both companies were later acquired by Amdocs. He also led a company-wide modernisation of its flagship product, which serves major telecom operators globally.
Since 2019, Jason has also been the founding engineer and now Chief Technology Officer of Parkit, the Malaysian company behind the Parkit parking platform and the Deliverit delivery platform. He built the technology for both platforms from scratch and grew the engineering team behind them. He later turned his focus to artificial intelligence, serving as a technical lead at a San Francisco-based AI startup developing privacy-first personal AI assistants.
At Axcova, Jason leads several projects for the University of Malaya. He is also building AI-driven platforms in financial analytics and cross-border business expansion. One uses AI and algorithms to evaluate stock market recommendations and track their performance. Another helps international businesses enter the Southeast Asian market. He is an active open-source contributor, driven by a lifelong passion for building technology.
